System Approach

What the hell is wrong?

We have already talked enough about creativity and tools to carry out projects but this is not over yet, there is something called "System Approach", how many times have we failed to solve any problem? Believe me that I have struggled a lot in this, but guess what, I have found the answer, a well structured guide that will serve us as long as we can carry it out correctly. The "System Approach" is a methodological scheme that serves as a guide for problem solving, especially towards those that arise in the management or administration of a system, as there is a discrepancy between what you have and what you want, its problem, its components and its solution.
Well, the systems approach is something very interesting since it determines a general objective and justifies it with several sub-systems with the sole purpose of improving the results, in order to transform a problem to a successful product we have 3 subsystems which we they will guide:

  • Problem formulation
  • Identification and design of solutions
  • Results Control

Problem Formulation

This first subsystem has the function of identifying the problem, it is important to establish this very well since if we do not do it correctly everything could be in vain, here we will explain why this problem exists, therefore we will have to have the following steps.
  • Problem statement (Establish our problem).
  • Investigation of the real (Investigate background).
  • Formulation of the desired (Objective).
  • Evaluation and diagnosis (Indicators)

Identification and design of solutions

Easy, we need to consider and think about the different ways to carry out this solution, therefore if necessary we will have to make programs, budgets, itineraries and everything required to carry out this solution to be able to go to the execution phase, this process leads to performed 3 sub-processes:

  • Generation and evaluation of alternatives (Tests).
  • Formulation of strategic bases (Promote bases).
  • Solution development (Preparation).

Results Control Subsystem

As the last sub-system, we have to have a strategy or plan in case of erroneous results, so we will have to have restatements of solutions for our problem as well as strategies, therefore this point is divided:

  • Control planning (Anticipate errors)
  • Evaluation of results and adaptation. ( Departure)

I hope it was helpful, see you in the next post.

Activity Theory

Activity Theory In this case, we will talk a little more about the resources that we will use to manage a project that we want to use, be it a product that we want to sell or a change proposal. Activity theory is a tool that helps us collect information at home aspect of our project, it is more a meta-theory than a predictive theory. This considers the entire work / activity system (including teams, organizations, etc.), in other words it does not focus only on the person, but also on your own team and the environment that is managed. I like to think of this tool as something more realistic for our project since I feel that it is more complete because it takes ourselves into account. The activity theory is represented by a triangle which contains the following: This triangle can be managed on 3 levels: Activity towards a goal (goal) carried out by a community. A result of a reason (need) that may not be aware of the social and personal meaning of the activity (Answer the quest...

Lean Canvas

Bussines? The Lean Canvas is based on the Business Model Canvas designed by Alex Osterwalder. Thanks to Ash Maurya we can enjoy a specific adaptation of the business model canvas for entrepreneurs who are working on their business idea when launching their own startup. As we explained in the Business Model Canvas post, that canvas is divided into two parts (the right part talks about the market, and the left part refers to the company). In this case, the Lean Canvas has a more practical division for those who are looking for an innovative and viable business model. The right part continues to reflect the environment (market) but the left part helps you reflect on your product / service. As you can see, the approach has points in common, but with some important subtleties. Below I explain more fully what are the adaptations of the Lean Canvas blocks with respect to the traditional Canvas or Osterwalder Canvas: Customer segment:  In the case of entrepreneurs...

The art of thinking

Since we were born we have been in constant physical development, we become fat, we become thin, we grow, etc., but in the same way we have a mental development that is constant, as time goes by we learn more and more to the point where we reason, where we characterize a very important thing, our thinking, our way of thinking. This is not something new, since our ancestors this was already exercised, we simply had not thought clearly what exactly we think and why and how we came to that thought, well, let me explain that there is an answer for all this since there are several types of thinking which we use without realizing it, they are very important, therefore, I will explain a little more about them. What are the Thinking Skills? Well, the thinking skills are the mental processes that allow people to process any type of information, gain knowledge and solve problems. These skills are important because they allow the human being to think and act in a generalized way, as well as t...
