Activity Theory

Activity Theory

In this case, we will talk a little more about the resources that we will use to manage a project that we want to use, be it a product that we want to sell or a change proposal. Activity theory is a tool that helps us collect information at home aspect of our project, it is more a meta-theory than a predictive theory. This considers the entire work / activity system (including teams, organizations, etc.), in other words it does not focus only on the person, but also on your own team and the environment that is managed. I like to think of this tool as something more realistic for our project since I feel that it is more complete because it takes ourselves into account. The activity theory is represented by a triangle which contains the following:

This triangle can be managed on 3 levels:

  • Activity towards a goal (goal) carried out by a community. A result of a reason (need) that may not be aware of the social and personal meaning of the activity (Answer the question Why?)
  • Action towards a specific (conscious) goal, carried out by an individual or a group possible goals and sub-goals, critical goals (Answers to the question What?)
  • The operational structure of the activity is usually a concrete, automated and unconscious way of executing an action according to the specific conditions surrounding the objective (answer the question How?)

See you later!!

Lean Canvas

Bussines? The Lean Canvas is based on the Business Model Canvas designed by Alex Osterwalder. Thanks to Ash Maurya we can enjoy a specific adaptation of the business model canvas for entrepreneurs who are working on their business idea when launching their own startup. As we explained in the Business Model Canvas post, that canvas is divided into two parts (the right part talks about the market, and the left part refers to the company). In this case, the Lean Canvas has a more practical division for those who are looking for an innovative and viable business model. The right part continues to reflect the environment (market) but the left part helps you reflect on your product / service. As you can see, the approach has points in common, but with some important subtleties. Below I explain more fully what are the adaptations of the Lean Canvas blocks with respect to the traditional Canvas or Osterwalder Canvas: Customer segment:  In the case of entrepreneurs...

The art of thinking

Since we were born we have been in constant physical development, we become fat, we become thin, we grow, etc., but in the same way we have a mental development that is constant, as time goes by we learn more and more to the point where we reason, where we characterize a very important thing, our thinking, our way of thinking. This is not something new, since our ancestors this was already exercised, we simply had not thought clearly what exactly we think and why and how we came to that thought, well, let me explain that there is an answer for all this since there are several types of thinking which we use without realizing it, they are very important, therefore, I will explain a little more about them. What are the Thinking Skills? Well, the thinking skills are the mental processes that allow people to process any type of information, gain knowledge and solve problems. These skills are important because they allow the human being to think and act in a generalized way, as well as t...
